Antique Toleware Spice Tin With Six Spice Canisters

Primitive Toleware is so pretty, isn't it? These metal spice tins date back to Victorian times. I love the hand stenciling to create an ornate motif and the lettering used for the spices. This tin is black with plenty of patina and age related scuffs. On the inside is the original set of six tins: allspice, cinnamon, cloves, ginger, mace and "nutmegs". It is a beautiful little set!

The tin measures 9 inches by 6.5 inches by 3 inches deep.
