Vintage Nativity Chalkware Mary and Joseph

I love the detail and patina on these two sweet Mary and Joseph figurines, likely from a nativity set. They are marked Italy on the bottom. Both have lovely expressive faces. There is age related character and patina with possibly a few scuffs. I do not detect any large chips.

Both measure about 3 inches tall.
