Antique Wood and Paper Pantry Box

This round primitive pantry box is a large one!  It is made of heavy cardboard paper with a bent wood rim around the top and bottom.  It has a hand carved and worn lid for the top complete with signs of use around the knob.  The bottom is wood.  There are metal latch pieces to hold parts in place, old staples and old nails.  It is large enough to hold canes, rolls of wrapping paper, as a Christmas tree vessel, holding patriotic flags, you name it!  It does appear that it may have gotten wet at some point but it is now complete dry and in wonderful antique condition.

Measures 18 inches tall and 12.5 inches in diameter.
